Glamping - Weight Loss Camp Day, 13 September 2015
Now Sunday is always a great day for us as trainers.. We get to wake up and hear the sound of stiff muscles and aching bodies from the ladies, and another bonus it's be first morning for pre-breakfast wake up workout!! No matter how sore those muscles were each and every one of the clients is wrapped up warm and heading down to the exercise marquee with a smile on their face.
The plan for this week is to use each wake up workout as an opportunity to introduce a range of circuit classes. This has many benefits for the women; it shows a huge variety of circuit class set ups and routines, gives them the chance to see circuits don't always have to include press ups (!!) they could be more agility or cv focused, and it ensures each of them has had a tough workout to wake them up and set them on the right path for the day!! It's another fun packed and busy Sunday here in Malvern. The ladies get chance to rest their legs for an hour after breakfast whilst Andy covers the 8 aspects of fitness we believe to be most important to create that healthy balance.
Luckily the weather is on our side for our first few days of camp, allowing us to spend the morning on the top field enjoying the sun and working through some agility drills. The ladies seem to be enjoying as it gives them chance to help each other through exercises and even get a bit competitive!
The afternoon gives us a chance to introduce some interval training, something we both feel is a really useful tool and implement into our own training schedules. We stay outdoors to begin with some road intervals before picking up the intensity with an hour of high intensity interval training to get hot sweaty and another brilliant workout under our belts!
To finish another tough day Andy spends the after dinner session spending time with ladies to discover their core and how to engage it.. Now some expect this session to be an easy one as it involves a lot of lying down but I'm sure they're in for a bit of a treat!!
